Upon successful completion of their programs, graduates are welcomed to an active community of over 2,500 alumni who share the hallmark and experience of a NYSID education.

Leadership And SERVICE

For nearly one hundred years, NYSID alumni have been recognized as leaders in all facets of the interior design profession. At the same time they have helped focus and strengthen the mission of the college.

Leadership in the Design Professions 
NYSID graduates have held positions of leadership in professional organizations, such as ASID, IIDA, IFDA, and IES on both the regional and national levels. As active members or officers of both regionally and national organizations, NYSID alumni have served the professional community and the public.  

Leadership at NYSID
Alumni are active participants in the governance of the college. As members of NYSID’s Board of Trustees, International Advisory Board, and Alumni Council, alumni make recommendations that help guide the School.   

Public Service 
Through volunteerism and community service, NYSID alumni continue to recognize the importance of public service. As individuals and as organized groups, alumni support a wide range of charities and civic and cultural organizations.
