Bookstore

Located right off the main lobby, the bookstore is open to the public as well as to students. Books from major publishers on interior design, architecture, and the decorative arts in addition to textbooks, art supplies, and school-related merchandise are available. In conjunction with public lectures, the bookstore is the venue for book signings by leading designer/authors in interior design and architecture, furniture design, garden design, and home furnishings.

Books include Albert Hadley: Drawings and the Design Process, published by NYSID, and Color in Interior Design, by faculty member Ethel Rompilla.

The bookstore is open Monday through Thursday, 8:30 am to 6:30 pm, and Friday and Saturday, 9 am to 5 pm during the fall and spring semesters.  During the winter break and throughout the summer, hours are limited.

Café 

Located adjacent to the Whiton Student Gallery, the café is a great place to have lunch with friends, grab a coffee before class, or study with chocolate chip cookie.  With delicious sandwiches, soups, salads, pastries, and more prepared by the Upper East Side's premier Butterfield Market, the NYSID café is the perfect place to socialize with classmates as well as satisfy those hunger pangs.

The cafe is open Monday thru Thursday, 9 am to 6 pm, and Friday from 9 am to 3 pm.
