NYSID’s annual giving programs are designed to further involve alumni and friends in the life and support of the School. Alumni Scholars Fund: Enables alumni of the college to support annual scholarships for the benefit of NYSID students. Design Industry Guild Fund: $2,500 provides one scholarship named for your firm or for an individual you may wish to honor. $1,000 provides one scholarship that will be recognized as having been contributed by you or your firm. Library Acquisitions Fund: Enables donors to support library acquisitions by subscribing to the bookplate program. Each $50 bookplate may be in the donor’s name or in the name of someone the donor wishes to honor. While this is not a program unique to our college, it is one that underscores how important a resource the Library is to the educational experience at NYSID. Study Abroad Program: Provides scholarship support for students participating in the Study Abroad Program, a two-week credit-bearing seminar that introduces students to the art and architecture of major capitals of Europe. Thus far, courses have been held in Paris, Rome, and London. Exhibition Fund: Contributions of $5,000 or more are enlisted from foundations, corporations, and individuals to support the college’s annual program of exhibitions. Public Programs Fund: Each fall and spring semester, the college presents a series of public lectures designed to expand the horizons of students and the general public in exploring the design process used by leading architects and interior designers. Each lecture is videotaped in order to build an archive on these internationally known design professionals. Sponsorship of $5,000 underwrites the cost of one lecture. Endowed Giving Funds |
