The college offers two undergraduate degree programs: the professional level 132-credit bachelor of fine arts in interior design, and the pre-professional 66-credit associate in applied science in interior design. Both degree programs, in conjunction with the requisite work experience, prepare graduates to sit for the NCIDQ exam leading to state certification. A 24-credit nondegree certificate program, Basic Interior Design, is offered for those who need to develop a portfolio in order to apply to the undergraduate degree program, or for those seeking personal enrichment and entry-level job opportunities in fields related to interior design. The post-professional master of fine arts (MFA) in interior design is a full-time 60-credit program for the applicant who already has an undergraduate degree in architecture or interior design or in a closely related field. The program focuses on advanced studio and academic research in history, theory, and methods as they relate to an interdisciplinary approach to interiors and design. |
