STUDENT RESOURCES

Student resources at NYSID include a library with a first-rate collection on site as well as agreements with other libraries to grant access to their resources; computer classrooms and lab; the Writing Center to provide the opportunity to improve writing skills; tutoring by advanced students to develop skills in subjects such as drafting, CAD, and perspective drawing; the career placement office for finding part-time or full-time employment opportunities; and dedicated faculty who discuss projects with students on an individual basis.

NYSID is located in the vicinity of major museums and galleries and numerous showrooms for fabrics and furnishings.Our students also enjoy the opportunities to attend lectures and presentations by leading interior designers and architects who participate in our public lecture series.
