ICPS Tuition Refund Policy & Drop Policy

Before registering for any ICPS class, please read the Tuition Refund Policy and Drop Policy.

Tuition Refund Policy

Refunds are calculated based on the date the course is dropped online or the date of receipt of a completed, signed drop form in the Office of the Registrar. To drop a course you must notify NYSID in writing; telephone notification is not accepted. Fees are nontransferable. Registration and technology fees (applied to credit-bearing courses) are nonrefundable, and a drop fee applies to dropped credit‐bearing courses resulting in a refund. All refunds are issued by check, regardless of original method of payment.

Drop and Withdrawal Policy

Eligibility to drop or withdrawal a course is based on the date the course is dropped online or the receipt date of a completed and signed drop form to the Office of the Registrar. To drop a course you must notify NYSID in writing; telephone notification is not accepted.

For all noncredit continuing education courses and one‐credit mini‐courses:

  • Continuing education courses: students must submit a completed Drop form at least one full week prior to the first session.

  • Credit‐bearing mini‐courses that meet for 3 or fewer sessions: students who wish to Drop must do so one full week prior to the first session. No drops or withdrawals will be permitted once the course begins

  • Credit‐bearing mini‐courses that meet for 4 or more sessions: students who wish to Drop must do so one full week prior to the first session. Students may voluntarily withdraw (resulting in a “W” for the course) prior to the second session. No withdrawals will be permitted after the second session
