Pre-College Housing

The College offers housing to Pre-College students at a modern residential facility at 97th Street and Third Avenue, which is easily accessible to NYSID and is in a neighborhood full of shops and restaurants.

Students will reside in triple rooms, each with its own bathroom; there is 24-hour security. Each room is fully furnished (linens not included), air conditioned and equipped with a refrigerator, microwave oven, and cable TV. There are communal kitchens, laundry facilities, free cable, and free high-speed internet. The facility has common rooms, quiet rooms, a fully equipped gym, a game room, and computer kiosks. NYSID Resident Advisor(s) live in the facility to provide support, guidance and programming for all NYSID residents.

NYSID Pre-College Housing is structured for mature and responsible students. Students are not chaperoned 24/7. Resident Advisors (RA’s) will be residing in the dorm who will plan activities and provide support and guidance. Students will however be given flexible time where they will not be supervised, monitored or required to remain in the residence facility. They will be responsible for their own safety and free to explore New York City. Curfews will be enforced and students will be required to check-in with the RA. It is strongly recommended that participating students are capable, independent and ready for this personal responsibility. Housing policies are strictly enforced and students must comply with all NYSID rules and regulations as set forth. Students and parents must acknowledge and agree to all policies.
