Give the gift of education! Each year, NYSID raises funds from individuals just like you to support scholarships for our talented design students.

For many, these gifts make an education possible. By having a healthy scholarship fund, NYSID can also attract and retain outstanding students regardless of their financial circumstances.

For over 100 years, NYSID has been a leader in the study of interior design offering programs for students at all stages of their careers. Consistently ranked as one of the top interior design programs in the country, our students study both residential and commercial interior design, some with specialties in sustainable design and lighting. NYSID is proud of the fact that 98% of our undergraduate students, and 100% of our graduate students, were employed or pursuing further education within 6 months of graduation.

By making a donation this spring to our Scholarship Fund, you will be helping our students achieve their dreams of becoming design professionals.

How you can help:

  • Contribute to the general scholarship fund. Gifts of any size are deeply appreciated.
  • Named Scholarship: $5,000 (for one year). Gifts can be made in your name, or in honor/memory of a loved one.
  • Named/Endowed Scholarship: $60,000. Can be made in your name, or in honor/memory of a loved one.

Your participation — no matter the amount — will make a world of difference! For general information or to discuss named and endowed scholarships, please contact Joy Cooper, Director of Development, at 212-452-4197 or by email at

If your employer -- or your spouse’s employer -- has a matching gifts program, your gift to NYSID could be doubled or even tripled. To make your donation go even further, please check to see if your employer will match your gift and, if so, mail your company’s matching gifts form to the address below when you make your donation.
