NYSID Welcomes New Board Members

NYSID’s Board of Trustees is an active and involved group. In addition to their governing duties, they participate in lectures and class critiques, advise students on their thesis projects, and much more.

Last month, five new members were appointed to NYSID’s Board: Amory Armstrong, founding partner of Armstrong Associates, LLC, a fine art and antique consulting firm; Alexa Hampton, President and featured designer of Mark Hampton LLC interior design firm; Ellen Kravet, Executive Vice President and Co-Owner of Kravet Inc., a fourth generation family business that distributes fabrics, furniture, wall coverings, trimmings and accessories; Dennis Miller, Founder and President of Dennis Miller Associates, a manufacturer and distributor of fine contemporary furniture, lighting and carpets; and Betsey Ruprecht, owner of Decorative Antiques Ltd in Stamford, Connecticut  and a newly opened store, HOUSE, in Locust Valley, NY, specializing in vintage and decorative furniture and objects.

Their diverse experience and impressive backgrounds will be a great addition to an already dedicated Board of Trustees. We are excited to have them join the NYSID community!
