Join us on Wednesday, November 12 for a hands-on woodblock workshop led by Andrew Raftery, who is featured in our exhibition, Sketching the Surface: Exploring the New York School of Interior Design Archives and Contemporary Pattern Design.

Andrew is leading two workshop sessions at 2:30 pm and 5:30 pm, guiding participants through the technique of distemper printing. You’ll learn how to mix colors, coat grounds, and create stamped patterns using small wood blocks provided by the instructor, along with custom foam stamps made during the class. Experimentation and collaboration are encouraged. Don't forget to bring an apron; we will be working with water-soluble paint.
