New York School of Interior Design presents spring 2016 exhibition, "Interior Design Today: Alumni Exhibition

New York, NY – March 4, 2016 – New York School of Interior Design (NYSID) presents “Interior Design Today: Alumni Exhibition,” a celebration of NYSID’s 100th anniversary featuring work from our esteemed alumni. The exhibition will be on view from March 4 – April 29, 2016 at NYSID Gallery, 161 East 69th Street, New York City.

The work of more than 30 alumni, established designers as well as recent graduates, will be on display, showing a wide range of projects for living, working, playing, and healing. Although the exhibition shows a small fraction of projects of work our alumni are producing every day, it celebrates the diversity and complexity of the profession.

“We are very proud of the success of our alumni and the tremendous impact they have made in the field,” says NYSID president David Sprouls. “Showcasing their contributions in this exhibition is a great way to kick off the year-long celebration of our 100th anniversary.” Throughout the year NYSID will be hosting a series of events and initiatives that pay tribute to our rich history, our role in the development of the field, and the great opportunities for the future. About New York School of Interior Design
New York School of Interior Design is a private, nonprofit college focused exclusively on interior design. The college offers certificate, undergraduate, and graduate programs for students at all stages of their careers—whether they’re just becoming familiar with the discipline, considering a career change, or looking to deepen knowledge in a particular area. We have more than 600 students studying residential and commercial interior design, with specialties in sustainable design, lighting, and healthcare interiors. Because of our small class size and sharp focus, our students receive a great deal of personal attention from our dedicated faculty, and they go on to practice at the highest levels of the profession.

Founded in 1916, New York School of Interior Design has been leading the study of interior design for a century. We’ve trained the designers whose work defines interior design today, and, by rigorously preparing students for professional success, we’re shaping the future of the entire field. We are ranked one of the top 5 interior design schools in the U.S. by DesignIntelligence. To learn more, visit our website at NYSID.edu.
