Decorator's Club Scholarship

The Decorator’s Club hosted its 21st Annual Scholarship Awards on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at SMART Technologies Showroom in the New York Design Center. The Decorators Club Education Fund -- established in 1960 to support interior design education -- sponsors an annual portfolio competition and awards grants to students in the New York City’s interior design programs.

NYSID students were acknowledged for their outstanding designs – winning two out of the five awards!

BFA student Chakeya Ottley was awarded third prize ($3,000) for her designs for The Industry, a coffee shop in the Domino Sugar Factory (pictured left), and for Riot, a co-working space for gaming developers and events.
