NYSID Archives with Archivist Nora Reilly

In 2013, NYSID established its archives in anticipation of its 100th anniversary in 2016. Since then, the majority of NYSID’s institutional collections as well as a number of acquired archives from interior designers and firms have been organized and rehoused according to archival standards. In 2014, Nora Reilly was hired as NYSID’s first official staff archivist.

2015 Holiday House Student Competition

or the first time ever, NYSID students competed for the opportunity to design a room at Holiday House

The student winner was Cheryl Sadlowski, BFA ’16, selected by a panel of judges including designers Drew McGukin, Alexa Hampton and Thom Filicia. Cheryl was announced the winner at a celebration at Holiday House on November 16.
