Vladimir Kagan has been designing furniture for close to seven decades, winning almost every possible design award along the way. The distinctive sculptural forms of his newest designs now compete in popularity with vintage pieces from his mid-20th century career. Kagan will talk about his retirement and reemergence, and the timelessness of good modern design, comparing notes with Amy Lau, one of today’s leading interior designers, and one of his biggest fans. Publisher and longtime design editor Suzanne Slesin will moderate the conversation.
