Robert A.M. Stern is a practicing architect, teacher, and writer. As founder and senior partner of Robert A.M. Stern Architects, he directs the design of the firm’s architecture, planning, interior design, and landscape design projects. Stern is the J.M. Hoppin Professor of Architecture and Dean of the Yale School of Architecture. He has lectured extensively in the United States and abroad.
His talk will be based on his recent book, Paradise Planned: The Garden Suburb and the Modern City, which considers the history of the garden suburb and how it serves as a guide for current and future urban planning.
