Join us for Dialogues on Design with award-winning architectural designer and decorator Ben Pentreath in conversation with host Dennis Scully on Wednesday, November 4.
The conversation will cover his illustrious career and his new book co-authored with his husband, Charlie McCormick, A Year at the Parsonage, which will be available for purchase. Ben's work embodies the highest principles of traditional and classical architecture, as well as urbanism in contemporary society. He studied Art History at the University of Edinburgh before attending the Prince of Wales’s Institute of Architecture. After working in New York and then with the Prince’s Foundation, Ben started his own practice, Ben Pentreath Ltd, in 2004. The firm has grown to occupy two beautiful studios in Bloomsbury, London. Ben is also co-founder, with Bridie Hall, of Pentreath & Hall, one of London’s most distinctive interiors and decoration shops.
In 2023, Ben was awarded the prestigious Richard H. Driehaus Prize, given to a major contributor in the field of contemporary traditional and classical architecture. In 2026, Ben was awarded an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the Kings New Year’s Honours List, for Services to Design – in recognition of his significant contributions to classical architecture and interior design.

Dennis Scully is the host of the weekly BOH podcast, where he explores the changes and challenges facing the interior design community through interviews with industry thought leaders, entrepreneurs and creatives.
With a marketing, advertising, and business development career in the home furnishings space that spans more than 20 years, Dennis has helped some of the finest companies in the industry to manage their teams and grow their brands.
In addition to his work with Business of Home, Dennis also serves as an Institutional Advancement Consultant at the New York School of Interior Design, helping the school to raise money for its various scholarship programs. He is the curator and host of NYSID’s Dialogues on Design series.
