Since 2015, NYSID’s summer service-learning studio has given MFA1 students the opportunity to work on real-world design projects for nonprofit organizations. Now led by faculty member Terry Kleinberg, the course has grown into a hands-on space for social impact design, where students collaborate and solve complex problems through practice-based learning.
